Hi Group 1 members.
Your group will be discussing and investigating why it is that humans are violent toward each other – who does it really benefit? Some of the issues you may wish to raise and discuss are:
- How have country boundaries been established (particularly in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America) and how have these boundaries promoted different cultures and understandings?
- What forms of governance (democracy, dictatorship, etc.) are more likely to ‘go to war’ in the 21st century?
- Which groups / companies financially benefit from warfare?
- Has society at large benefited from the inventions promoted within war times?
- Are any of these questions providing an answer as to why we are violent towards and ultimately at war with one another?
- What are some of the freedoms that war promises its victors?
- How has Australia benefited from our involvement in recent wars (WW2, Korea, Vietnam, East Timor, Iraq, Afganistan …)?

If there was a bad ruler you could overthrow them and make the country better

If a rightful country wins we can have peace
In afganistab the war just made it worse
Why can’t countrys just look after themselves
Wars are like fire they just keep creating more and more
