Criteria rubrics for Thursday Presentations:

There will be two criterias used for the presentations.  The group criteria will be assessed by the external stakeholder guests and an overall mark (out of 18) will be given for your group on the presentation.  The individual criteria will be assessed by either Mr Clift or Mr Markwell and a mark (out of 10) will be given for your personal contribution to the presentation / discussion.  The criterias are below:

Small group roles:

Remember the protocols for group based discussions – every person needs to take on a role and ensure they stick to it:

1)      Topic manager and reporter – The role of the Topic manager is to keep the discussion focused on the topic at hand. If the discussion moves away from the topic it your task to intervene and remind the group that they must get back into discussing the topic again. As the reporter it is also your task to report back to the class on the issues your group has raised on the topic.

2)      Scribe – The role of the scribe is to make dot point notes about the key issues being raised during the discussion.

3)      Discussion monitor – The role of the discussion monitor is to ensure all members of the group contribute at least once. Also, it your task to make sure each group member is allowed to raise their point without being cut off or interrupted until they have finished. This must be followed closely so everyone has the right to voice their opinion fairly.

4)      Time keeper – As discussions will have a set time limit, the role of the Time keeper is to make sure each group member is able to voice their opinion but to ensure they do not talk any longer than a period no longer than 3 minutes at a time.

5)      The Pro’s president – Group member 5 is Pro (reason for) topic. It is your role to make sure you put forward at least one pro aspect on the topic. This may be done after the initial discussion has taken place.

6)      The Con’s president – It is your task to deliver at least one con (reason against) aspect on the topic and present it to the group. This may be done after the initial discussion and after the pro president has introduced their reason.

  1. War inflicts violence everywhere all over the world.
War inflicts violence everywhere all over the world in families and friendships.

In war no one really wins the winners still have to live with the horrifying memories of what happen

in the war the guns the blood all over your face how can some body live with themselves killing so

many people just because two leaders are fighting and making them go and fight people who have

done nothing to them. The Nazis are just doing what they are told by Hitler it’s like a dog and an

owner. The Nazis believe in Hitler while the Americans, English and ANZACS are being told by their leaders.

Just imagine your truly best friend ever that you’ve known all your life and you see him die right in

front of you and you can’t do anything. But why the leaders brought us here. and maybe Hitler was

holding their families captive. If tony abbot started taking over Indonesia and he told us that the

Indonesian were trying to attack us who would you believe the Indonesians or our prime minister.
